Infibeam Avenues Stock Soars on Q3 Profits, But Bonus and Dividend Decisions Remain Pending

admin

Mumbai, India (February 3, 2024): Shares of Infibeam Avenues Ltd. (INFIBEAM) jumped 5.2% today, closing at ₹40, following the company’s announcement of a 15.7% year-on-year rise in net profit for the third quarter (Q3) of the financial year 2023-24. The profit increase, which reached ₹41.44 crore (approximately $5 million), was attributed to a strong festive season and increased adoption of the company’s CCAvenue payment solution.

Investors cheered the positive earnings report, pushing the stock price to its highest level since April 2023. However, some remained cautious as the company did not announce any plans for a bonus or dividend payout.

Bonus and Dividend Wait Continues:

While Infibeam Avenues has a history of rewarding shareholders with occasional bonuses and dividends, the company has maintained silence on its distribution plans for the current fiscal year. The lack of clarity on this front could limit further stock price gains, according to analysts.

“The Q3 results were definitely encouraging, but investors are also looking for concrete steps on capital distribution,” said market expert Aditya Singh. “A bonus or dividend announcement could provide the next leg of support for the stock price.”

Strategic Acquisitions and Growth Potential:

Despite the absence of bonus or dividend news, Infibeam Avenues has made several strategic acquisitions in recent months, including a 49% stake in Pirimid Fintech and a ₹2,000 crore MoU with the Gujarat government. These moves indicate the company’s focus on expanding its e-commerce and digital payment businesses, which could fuel future growth.

Looking Ahead:

The coming months will be crucial for Infibeam Avenues as investors await further clarity on its capital distribution plans and the impact of its recent acquisitions. If the company can maintain its financial momentum and provide concrete details on shareholder rewards, the stock price could see further upside.
